We are working towards a listing for JCCP on the SSCI, for which the criteria are: basic publishing standards, editorial content, international focus and citation analysis. The British Library would be happy to provide JCCP with the DOIs of DataCite if the journal is open access. We have decided to make the published issues available publicly for six months while we seek advice on gaining broad recognition for the journal:

Special issue

The special issue of the Journal of China in Comparative Perspective (JCCP) was published and printed in August 2013 at the international conference Max Weber and China: Culture, Law and Capitalism, SOAS, University of London, UK. This is the only English and Chinese dual language combined issue. It was based on previously edited issue (Vol. 1 No 1, June 2011) of Journal of China in Comparative Perspective (JCCP) but never been published due to lack of fund.

You can download a free electronic copy HERE

Or pay for postage HERE for a free hard copy. Limited quantities while supplies last.

Having secured some funding, the JCCP has been officially launched during the 2nd Global China Dialogue, 23–24 November 2015, at the British Academy. According to Emeritus Professor Stephan Feuchtwang, Department of Anthropology of LSE in the UK, Honorary Editor of the Journal of China in Comparative Perspective: ‘I can’t be at this launch personally, but hope you will accept instead my congratulations to Xiangqun and all her co-workers in preparing and now publishing the new Journal of China in Comparative Perspective, which builds on my initiative at the LSE where I designed the still thriving Master’s degree on China in Comparative Perspective. The journal and the two book series are an amazing accomplishment, an entirely independent endeavour, and I hope that, given a secure base, they too will thrive.’

Book Review

Bijiao: China in Comparative Perspective Book Review (CCPBR, ISSN: 2045-0680) was launched in 2011 by China in Comparative Perspective Network (CCPN) at LSE, and discontinued from 2015.

The selected review pieces and essays are included in Book review column of the Journal of China in Comparative Perspective (JCCP) in future issues from 2015.

You can access the CCPBR issues at CCPN Global website via links below.
